Ziwi Ltd is a New Zealand ultra founded premium pet food company known for producing high‑quality, natural nutrition for cats and dogs. All their ingredients are ethically sourced from free‑range, grass‑fed farms and local fisheries, and their products are made here in Hawke’s Bay at their modern Super Kitchen in Napier, as well as via partner plants in Gisborne and Auckland. They are New Zealand’s largest pet food exporter, with a strong global presence across more than 35 markets.
This is a hands‑on, end‑to‑end supply chain role, working closely with the GM Supply Chain and leading a team that plays an important part in daily operations. You’ll span right across the full supply chain lifecycle, from raw material planning and procurement through production scheduling, inventory management, warehousing, and export logistics. This business ships to multiple international markets; you’ll be central to ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliance at every step. You will work closely with manufacturing, quality, sales, and external freight partners to keep operations aligned and moving at pace. Beyond the day‑to‑day, you’ll also play a key role in continuous improvement initiatives that will see you strengthening systems, refining processes, and using data to drive smarter planning and decision‑making. This is a role where your leadership, problem‑solving and ability to anticipate challenges will directly support Ziwi’s growth and its reputation for delivering premium pet nutrition to customers around the world.
To be successful in this role, you’ll be a cohesive people leader, who brings experience from a production or manufacturing environment, supported by a relevant tertiary qualification. Exposure to supply chain management within FMCG or complex global operations will be highly valued, along with a solid understanding of sea freight logistics. We’re looking for someone who enjoys leading people and building strong, positive working relationships, not only within the business, but also with vendors, suppliers, freight partners and customers. Your planning capability, analytical mindset and efficiencies with systems will help you navigate the day‑to‑day demands of a busy supply chain. You’ll be joining a genuinely supportive team who take pride in what they do and value the contribution each person makes.
