Heavy Assembly

A manufacturing facility in the Fairview, PA area is seeking a reliable Heavy Assembler for a 1st shift opening. This role involves hands-on assembly of larger, heavier components in a production environment, with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and steady production output.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components using hand tools and fasteners such as screws, bolts, clips, and rivets

  • Handle and position heavier parts and assemblies throughout the build process

  • Inspect, deburr, and clean parts to ensure quality standards are met

  • Follow basic blueprints, work instructions, and production procedures

  • Operate equipment such as drill presses, punch presses, and riveting machines

  • Use electric and air-powered torque tools and read torque measurements accurately

  • Package finished products according to company standards for shipment

  • Complete required documentation and production records

  • Identify and correct minor assembly issues as they arise

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3–6 months of related manufacturing or assembly experience preferred

  • Ability to read and understand basic blueprints and written instructions

  • Basic math skills (measurements, counting, simple calculations)

  • Comfortable using hand tools and small equipment

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physical, hands-on work throughout the shift

  • Must be able to stand, bend, twist, and move throughout the shift

  • Ability to distinguish colors (important for certain tasks)

  • Able to read and write in English

  • Must be able to complete a background check

Benefits/Compensation

  • Full Time

  • $15/hr

  • 1st shift Monday-Friday 7a-3:30p

  • Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts

  • Benefits available while employed through Career Concepts
