The Organisation
Think Talent is partnering with a well-funded sports technology start-up building a premium, social-first global platform for the sports industry.
This ambitious venture is creating a dedicated digital ecosystem connecting athletes, sporting professionals, fans and brands through a mobile-first experience that spans content, community, engagement, monetisation and advertising.
The business is now entering a more disciplined product delivery phase and is building stronger internal product capability to support launch, scale and long-term growth.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on Product Manager role for someone who loves building, shipping and improving consumer digital products.
Working closely with the Chief Product Officer, design, engineering, growth and offshore delivery teams, you will help turn product direction into clear requirements, user stories, sprint priorities and release outcomes.
The focus will be consumer-facing product delivery across mobile app and platform experiences, including onboarding, profile discovery, content engagement, posting, following, messaging, subscriptions and broader community features.
This is not a role for someone who wants to sit above the detail. You will be close to the work, living in Jira and Confluence, helping create clarity, momentum and accountability across product and engineering.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead defined consumer product workstreams across mobile app and web experience.
- Translate product priorities into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, sprint plans and delivery requirements.
- Manage backlog hygiene across Jira and Confluence.
- Work closely with design and engineering to deliver intuitive, engaging and high-quality consumer experiences.
- Support delivery across onboarding, discovery, posting, content engagement, messaging, following and subscription flows.
- Partner with offshore engineering teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered to specification.
- Use data, customer feedback, beta testing and product analytics to support product decisions.
- Track delivery progress, remove blockers and escalate risks early.
- Support sprint planning, release planning, retrospectives and product delivery rituals.
- Help build product frameworks, documentation and delivery standards that can scale as the business grows.
About You
You are a practical, commercially aware product operator who knows how to move from idea to execution.
You bring strong consumer product instincts, good delivery discipline and the ability to create clarity in a fast-moving environment. You are comfortable working with ambiguity, but you do not leave ambiguity sitting in the system. You turn it into structure, decisions and delivery-ready work.
You will bring:
- 4+ years’ experience in product management, ideally within consumer-facing digital products.
- Experience across mobile apps, marketplaces, social platforms, media, sport, wagering, creator economy, consumer technology or other high-engagement digital products.
- Strong Jira and Confluence capability.
- Proven ability to translate business priorities into user stories, acceptance criteria and delivery plans.
- Experience working with product, design, engineering, growth and data teams.
- Experience working with offshore or distributed engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of agile delivery environments.
- Exposure to product analytics, funnels, retention, engagement metrics or growth experimentation.
- A bias for action and a clear focus on what ships, how it performs and what impact it creates.
- Experience from environments such as REA, Sportsbet, Catapult, consumer apps, digital media, sport technology, marketplaces or high-growth digital platforms would be highly relevant.
