SYDNEY CBD office Hybrid (min 2 days in office)

An experienced Technical Business Analyst with Cyber Security experience is required to join the NSW Government and become part of the Cyber Uplift Programme.

The primary purpose of the role is to assist in building Technical Business Requirements (Functional/Non-Functional) via key stakeholder workshops across the business for the NSW Government Cyber Uplift Programme.

Introducing the requirements to the relevant Procurement forums, and producing associated documentation to assist in the end-to-end procurement and subsequent delivery processes.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyse, and translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications for cloud, infrastructure, and on-prem solutions.
  • Work alongside Project Manager(s), Procurement officers, Architects, Developers, Analysts, and Engineers to support end to end delivery activities.
  • Work closely with the business and key stakeholders to identify potential risks and propose viable solutions.
  • Produce high-quality documentation including requirements, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
  • Facilitate workshops, map requirements to system functionality, perform gap analysis and provide support to the development team and business throughout the implementation process.
  • Manage ongoing communication with key stakeholders to ensure that business needs are clearly aligned to the proposed solutions and maintain traceability throughout the lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the identification, development, and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.


Skills and Experience

  • Experience (7 years+) as a Technical Business Analyst working in complex ICT environments, working across cloud, infrastructure and networking initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of Cyber Security domains, such as IDAM, Network Security, Application Testing tools, and Essential 8.
  • Extensive experience in developing complex requirements for specific Infrastructure and Cyber Security initiatives.
  • Experience with network segmentation, infrastructure and cloud related technologies.
  • Dealing with stakeholder issues with a can-do attitude.
  • Experience participating in source to contract procurement activities (eg. RFT, RFP), preferably in the public sector.
  • Experience in collaborating with and influencing stakeholders at a core technical requirement level and providing the timely support to manage expectations and reach agreement amongst the stakeholders.
  • Solid MS Word and Excel skills for developing documents, tracking and comparing information.
