An exciting opportunity exists for a Payroll Officer to join a high-performing team in Brisbane. This ASX-listed organisation operates in a high-volume environment, providing exposure to complex payroll processes and a diverse workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process end-to-end weekly and fortnightly payroll, including adjustments, leave tracking, and reporting.
- Calculate and process employee payments, including PAYG, superannuation, and salary packaging.
- Generate invoices and collaborate with finance to ensure accuracy.
- Review and maintain employee records using electronic timekeeping systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry awards, agreements, and legislative requirements.
- Provide payroll support and answer employee queries.
- Contribute to process improvements within the payroll function.
- Proven experience in a Payroll Officer role (2+ years preferred).
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements.
- Proficiency in payroll systems.
- High attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
