THE COMPANY:

A specialist automation and machine-building company delivering bespoke manufacturing equipment for some of the world's leading medical device, pharmaceutical and life sciences organisations.

Operating from a modern facility in Limerick, the business designs, builds and commissions highly automated production systems incorporating robotics, machine vision, motion control, product tracking and complex control systems. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to strengthen their electrical build team.

THE ROLE:

This is a hands-on Electrical Panel Builder role focused on machine wiring, electrical assembly and testing of bespoke automation equipment.

Working closely with Mechanical, Controls and Manufacturing Engineers, you'll play a key role in the build and testing of highly customised automation systems.

  • Build and wire electrical control panels from schematics and drawings
  • Install and route cables, wiring and electrical components on bespoke machinery
  • Assemble junction boxes, terminals and control systems
  • Carry out electrical testing and fault-finding activities
  • Support machine commissioning and factory acceptance testing
  • Troubleshoot and modify electrical systems when required
  • Assist with machine installation and support activities on customer sites
  • Complete electrical documentation and maintain build quality standards

THE PERSON:

This role will suit an Electrical Panel Builder, Electrician, Electrical Technician or Maintenance Technician with experience working on machinery, control panels or automation equipment.

Candidates from machine building, manufacturing, industrial maintenance and automation environments are all encouraged to apply.

  • Experience building and wiring electrical control panels
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Experience with machine wiring and electrical assembly
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
  • Qualified Electrician, Electrical Technician or similar background
  • Experience working with automation equipment would be advantageous
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for equipment installation or service support
