Position Summary
We are seeking 2 x Water Treatment Plant Operators to support multiple active sites across Central Sydney.
These are permanent, Monday to Friday roles focused on the operation and maintenance of groundwater treatment systems associated with major infrastructure and tunnelling projects.
The key advantage of these roles is location — sites are based across the Parramatta to CBD corridor, offering the ability to work locally and be home every night, with minimal travel requirements.
There is flexibility on experience level, with opportunities suited to both junior and more experienced operators.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor groundwater treatment systems across multiple Sydney sites
- Manage treatment processes including chemical dosing, filtration and solids handling
- Conduct routine sampling, testing and performance monitoring
- Ensure treated water meets environmental discharge requirements
- Perform basic maintenance, fault finding and troubleshooting
- Maintain accurate operational records and reporting
- Work closely with supervisors, engineers and site teams
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
Required Experience
- Experience operating water or wastewater treatment plants (groundwater or industrial highly regarded)
- Understanding of treatment processes such as filtration, dosing and sludge handling
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role preferred (flexible depending on candidate)
- Strong safety awareness and ability to work across active infrastructure sites
