About the role:
The Claims Domain Architect provides specialist architecture expertise and advisory services to support the client’s Claims System Modernisation Program and broader Salesforce transformation initiatives. Working collaboratively with business stakeholders, delivery teams, enterprise architects, platform teams and implementation partners, the role contributes to the evolution of the Claims domain architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives, enterprise architecture principles and transformation roadmaps.
The role provides architecture guidance across Claims initiatives to support business outcomes, improve claims and return-to-work services, manage technology risks, and promote scalable, sustainable and maintainable Salesforce solutions. Representing the Claims domain in architecture governance forums, the position contributes to cross-domain design reviews and works closely with peer domain architects and Salesforce platform teams to drive consistency, reduce duplication, optimise platform capabilities and support a well-governed, high-performing Salesforce ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
Claims Domain Architecture & Modernisation
- Represent the Claims domain across the Claims Modernisation Program, providing architectural guidance and domain expertise to support the transition from Novus to Salesforce.
- Develop and maintain the Claims domain architecture, target-state roadmaps and transition strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives, enterprise architecture principles and technology direction.
- Support the delivery of claims transformation outcomes through practical, scalable and sustainable architecture approaches that improve customer experience, operational effectiveness and long-term platform value.
- Provide architectural guidance across Salesforce Service Cloud, Public Sector Solutions (PSS), Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, OmniStudio and associated Salesforce capabilities.
- Promote the adoption of architecture standards, reusable patterns and platform best practices to support consistency, maintainability and scalability.
- Work closely with Salesforce Platform teams to support platform governance, performance, sustainability and capability optimisation while minimising technical debt and unnecessary customisation.
- Represent the Claims domain in architecture governance forums, design reviews and enterprise architecture discussions.
- Collaborate with peer Domain Architects, enterprise architects and delivery teams to ensure alignment across business domains, technology initiatives and customer journeys.
- Contribute to the review of cross-domain Salesforce solutions to promote consistency, reuse, simplification and enterprise-wide outcomes while addressing dependencies and potential design conflicts.
- Provide architecture guidance and design assurance across Claims initiatives, ensuring solutions align with business requirements, enterprise standards and platform guardrails.
- Review and assess solution designs developed by delivery teams, technical specialists and implementation partners, providing recommendations that support quality, security, maintainability and long-term sustainability.
- Contribute architectural expertise across application, integration, data, security and technology domains throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives and business requirements into sustainable technology solutions.
- Support architecture activities related to claims management, injury management, return-to-work and customer engagement capabilities.
- Define and promote integration, information and data architecture practices across Salesforce, MuleSoft, AWS and enterprise platforms, ensuring alignment with enterprise data governance, privacy and security requirements.
The Successful Candidate
- Significant experience in Domain Architecture roles within large and complex organisations.
- Demonstrated experience leading architecture strategy for large-scale business and technology transformation programs.
- Strong experience with Salesforce platforms, including Service Cloud, Public Sector Solutions (PSS), Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud and OmniStudio.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies (TOGAF or equivalent).
- Experience developing target-state architectures, transition roadmaps, capability models and architecture artefacts that support strategic business outcomes.
- Strong knowledge across business, application, data, integration, technology, and security architecture domains.
- Experience participating in architecture governance, design assurance and architecture review processes.
- Experience working collaboratively across multiple delivery teams, technology platforms and vendor environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, facilitation and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across business and technology audiences.
