The Job
  
Reporting to the Head of Risk & Compliance, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s compliance and risk framework, with exposure across AML/CTF, financial crime, transaction monitoring, governance and regulatory compliance.
  
You will be responsible for the following duties:  

• Conduct KYC, CDD and ECDD reviews, including beneficial ownership, PEP, sanctions and adverse media screening
• Review higher-risk customers, including source of funds and source of wealth assessments
• Conduct transaction monitoring and investigate unusual activity and AML/CTF red flags
• Assist with AUSTRAC reporting, including SMRs and TTRs
• Maintain compliance records, registers and investigation files
• Provide guidance to the business on KYC, compliance and policy matters
• Assist with compliance testing, audits and remediation activities
• Support regulatory changes and updates to policies, procedures and AML/CTF programs
• Assist with compliance reporting, training and broader risk initiatives
• Support third-party due diligence and insurance administration  

You
  
To be successful in this role, you will bring:  

• Previous experience within AML/CTF, financial crime, risk, compliance or a related regulatory function
• A strong understanding of KYC/CDD, ECDD, transaction monitoring and AUSTRAC obligations
• Well-developed analytical and investigative skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The confidence to provide practical compliance guidance to stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
• The ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and exercise sound judgement
• Experience within financial services, precious metals, banking or another regulated industry will be highly regarded
• Exposure to an AFSL-regulated environment, audits, compliance reviews or policy development will be advantageous  

You will be a proactive and commercially minded compliance professional who enjoys investigating issues, solving problems and working with the broader business to achieve practical and compliant outcomes.
