Are you a Snowflake Architect with a passion for designing scalable enterprise data solutions and real-time integration platforms?

We're partnering with a leading enterprise organisation to secure an experienced Snowflake Architect / Solution Engineer to play a key role in delivering modern data platform initiatives across Snowflake, Confluent, and Airflow.

The Opportunity

This is a highly visible role where you'll drive end-to-end solution design across enterprise data platforms, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.
You'll work closely with Project Managers, Data Engineers, Application Teams, and Infrastructure Specialists to deliver high-quality data and integration solutions that support both real-time and batch processing environments.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and guide end-to-end solutions across Snowflake, Confluent, and Airflow
• Act as the key link between business stakeholders, project teams, and technical delivery teams

• Define and improve functional and non-functional requirements, including: Performance, Security, Data governance, Resilience, and Real-time integration behaviours

• Create and document: Data flows, Application interaction models, Integration patterns, Streaming contracts, and Platform dependencies
• Work closely with engineering and infrastructure teams to ensure environments are fit-for-purpose
• Establish reusable frameworks, standards, and best practices for enterprise data platforms
• Ensure operational readiness, including monitoring, orchestration, job scheduling, and data lineage
• Drive an automation-first approach and Infrastructure-as-Code practices
• Maintain solution governance and documentation through Jira and Confluence

What You'll Bring

Essential Experience

• Proven experience as a Solution Engineer, Data Architect, or Solution Architect within complex enterprise environments
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Snowflake
  • Confluent/Kafka
  • Apache Airflow
• Experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms and reusable architectural frameworks
• Deep understanding of real-time and batch integration patterns
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native data solutions and modern architecture practices
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, testable technical solutions
• Experience documenting integration models, data flows, and platform dependencies
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Highly Desirable

• Financial Services or Banking industry background
• Experience supporting large-scale data transformation programs
