About the End Client

The end client operates within a large, highly regulated environment, undertaking a significant HR transformation to modernise systems, processes and workforce capabilities.

Role Overview

The FIN Tester will support the implementation, enhancement and assurance of SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling (FIN/CO) solutions. The role has a focus on testing, quality assurance, functional validation and collaboration with business and technical teams. The position requires strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with SAP finance processes, and proven capability to work within complex transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end testing of SAP S/4HANA FIN and CO modules, including system, integration, regression and user acceptance testing.
• Validate configuration, functional design and system behaviour against business requirements.
• Create, review and maintain test plans, scripts, scenarios and traceability to functional specifications.
• Support defect triage, defect analysis and coordination with functional consultants and developers.
• Execute data validation, financial posting testing and reconciliation activities.
• Work with the business to ensure test coverage aligns with regulatory, accounting and operational requirements.
• Contribute to cutover, deployment readiness and post‑go‑live validation.
• Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities across testing and finance functional streams.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure end‑to‑end solution integrity.

Required Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated experience testing SAP S/4HANA Finance (FIN) and Controlling (CO) modules.
• Strong understanding of core finance processes including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Centre Accounting and Internal Orders.
• Experience in SAP testing methodologies, defect management and quality assurance processes.
• Ability to interpret functional specifications and translate them into executable test cases.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience working in large-scale ERP transformation programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Required Australian Citizenship and mandatory AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance.
• NV1 Security Clearance preferred.

Desirable Experience

• Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager, ALM or equivalent test management tools.
• Familiarity with financial reporting, month-end processes or government financial frameworks.
• Exposure to Agile delivery environments.
