The role
Depending on the position, your responsibilities may include:
- Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to venue standards
- Running your section and organising preparation for service
- Maintaining consistent food quality and presentation
- Contributing to menu planning and recipe development
- Monitoring stock, ordering requirements and food waste
- Following food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures
- Supporting and training junior kitchen staff
- Working closely with front-of-house staff to deliver efficient service
About you
- A relevant commercial cookery qualification or international equivalent
- Experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
- Strong cooking skills and attention to presentation
- Ability to stay organised during busy service periods
- Sound food safety and kitchen hygiene knowledge
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Availability for evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Willingness to live and work in regional Australia
