About the Role
The school is seeking a full-time VCE Mathematics Methods Teacher due to the planned retirement of an existing Mathematics teacher. The primary focus will be VCE Mathematical Methods, alongside some junior Mathematics and Science teaching across Years 7–10.
The position is ongoing and will ideally commence in Term 1, 2027, although the school may consider a Term 4, 2026 start for the right candidate. There may also be an opportunity to take on a Middle Years Year Level Coordinator position for candidates interested in combining classroom teaching with pastoral leadership.
Skills and Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned VCE Mathematical Methods and junior Mathematics programs.

Teach junior Science across Years 7–10 as required within the teaching load.

Maintain high standards of student safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusive classroom practice.

Assess student learning, provide meaningful feedback and communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues.

Collaborate with faculty colleagues and contribute positively to curriculum development and the wider school community.
Requirements

Current VIT registration or eligibility for registration

Relevant secondary teaching qualifications

Demonstrated ability to teach VCE Mathematical Methods

Ability to teach junior Mathematics and Science across Years 7–10

Interest in Middle Years pastoral or year-level leadership would be advantageous but is not essential
