[Job Description]
You will be in charge of software development and evaluation for automotive electronic control units (ECUs). Working closely with domestic and international R&D bases, you will be involved in a wide range of tasks from design to verification and quality improvement.
[Main Responsibilities]
・Design and development of automotive software and execution of technical solutions
・Execution of software validation, as well as various evaluations and testing
・Analysis of test results, investigation of root causes for defects, improvement proposals, and quality enhancement activities
・Creation and management of design specifications, evaluation reports, and technical documentation
・Comprehension of English design documents, specifications, and technical paperwork created by overseas R&D bases, and adapting/documenting them for the Japanese market
・Technical communication and coordination with overseas branches and development teams regarding design details, technical specifications, and evaluation results
・Driving forward design and evaluation tasks based on internal design standards and development processes
・Driving efficiency and process improvement in development by leveraging digital tools
・Analysis of technical issues, quality improvement activities, and proposals for new technologies and methodologies
・Contribution to the creation and proposal of intellectual property (patents, etc.)
・Technical support and knowledge sharing for junior engineers
・Execution of development and evaluation tasks with awareness of project progress and budget

The team is mainly composed of engineers in their 20s and 30s.
[Work Style]
・Principally working on-site (at the office)
・Business trips to OEMs (approx. 4?5 times a year)
*Occurs when evaluation using actual vehicles is required.

Requirements
[Requirements (Must Have)]
・5+ years of knowledge/experience in system validation
*Candidates who can independently design and execute test methods
・Experience using CANoe
・Experience with automotive components
・Knowledge of CAN protocol
・English: Conversational to Business level (Must be comfortable working in English)
*Will communicate with overseas Valeo branches (China, France, etc.)
・Japanese: Business level
*Required for internal meetings, creating documents in Japanese, and communicating with Japanese OEMs
[Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)]
・Academic background in Telecommunications or Electronics / Practical experience using CAN
・Engineers currently working in System Design who want to transition into System Validation are highly welcome
