Ahuriri Investment Management (AIM) is the independent investment entity established by Napier City Council to provide commercially focused governance and oversight of the Council’s long-term investment portfolio of circa $180M. AIM’s purpose is to optimise portfolio performance, support prudent stewardship and risk management, and deliver sustainable long-term returns for Napier City.
As Commercial Adviser, you will be the right hand to the Chief Executive, playing a pivotal role in supporting strategic investment decisions and shaping the future of AIM’s portfolio. You will lead the commercial analysis and due diligence across a broad range of commercial opportunities, developing robust business cases and financial models to support decision making. As well as providing general support to the CE, you will be working across multiple projects at once, and represent AIM in complex stakeholder environments – collaborating with consultants, partners and key stakeholders, while coordinating progress and producing concise reports.
To be considered, you will need to be commercially astute and analytically strong. You will likely come from a banking, property or professional services background and be able to demonstrate a track record of analyst experience. You will understand the principles and role of a client/principal within a project environment and enjoy working across multi-stakeholder projects. You will be known for your relationship skills, enjoy business case assessment and presentation, and be confident engaging at the Board level.
