This hands-on financial accounting role will be a good career step for those keen to make their mark in a substantive Hawkes Bay owned company with a broad range of entities and commercial bandwidth. We are looking for those who have a really strong base of accounting knowledge, with a special interest in driving systems efficiency, and providing reporting clarity. We are open minded as to your current accounting role and level of experience, but either way you will be someone who likes variety and cadence. You will need a minimum of 2 – 3 years accounting experience, or you may be a seasoned campaigner looking for your next challenge in a fast-paced environment. You might already be in commerce, or you may currently be in a CA firm ready to take on a significant new challenge. Either way, this is a gritty, meaningful finance role in a commercially nimble business with significant turnover, continuous development and ongoing growth projections.
This role will see you have a have a broad exposure across financial reporting, property, treasury and operational finance. Month-end and monthly reporting, compliance, consolidations, budgeting and cashflow forecasting, and cost accounting reflect the impact of this role.
Once you get familiar with their systems and various entities, you will become the go-to-person and a trusted accounting and finance advisor to key people in the entities you look after. We are seeking candidates with strong NZ financial accounting expertise. It is not essential, but it would be great if you are CA qualified.
