Associate Software Engineer/Identity Engineer

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Identity Engineer to join a large-scale federal government program on an initial 12-month labour hire contract.
 
This position will suit an identity and access management professional looking to contribute to the delivery of secure, scalable, and effective identity management solutions within a complex enterprise environment.
 
As the selected candidate, you will:

• Design, implement, and maintain identity and access management (IAM) solutions tailored to the organisation’s internal workforce within a cloud environment.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective IAM strategies.
• Configure and manage IAM features, ensuring compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Optimise IAM solutions for scalability, performance, and user experience using industry best practices and emerging technologies.
• Develop and implement automation processes to enhance IAM capabilities and streamline administrative tasks.
• Ensure solutions align with security frameworks and support organisational goals.

 
To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining IAM solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with cloud-based IAM platforms such as Okta, Saviynt, or Ping Identity.
• Knowledge of Single Sign-On (SSO), Conditional Access Policies, and App Registration.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Hold an NV1 security clearance or be eligible to obtain one.

 
It is desirable if you have:

• Prior experience working within government agencies or similar environments.
• Additional certifications or training related to IAM or cloud security.
