About the Position

An exciting opportunity is available for a passionate HPE Teacher & Sports Coordinator to join the College from Term 1, 2027. This full-time, ongoing role will see you deliver engaging Health and Physical Education programs while leading and coordinating the College's sporting program. The successful candidate will inspire students to achieve their personal best, promote participation in sport and physical activity, and contribute to the wider life of the school through a strong co-curricular sports program.

Skills and Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Health and Physical Education programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
• Coordinate the College's sporting program, including interschool competitions, carnivals and extracurricular activities.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment with a strong commitment to child safeguarding and student wellbeing.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues through effective communication.
• Collaborate with staff to promote participation, teamwork and a positive school sporting culture.

Requirements

• Relevant teaching qualifications and eligibility for Queensland teacher registration.
• Experience teaching Health and Physical Education.
• Demonstrated ability or interest in coordinating school sport and extracurricular programs.
• Current Australian work rights or eligibility to obtain them.
• A commitment to student wellbeing, professional practice and safeguarding responsibilities.
