NGO - Executive Director (Youth)

Apply directAt ConnectedGroup, we are supporting a local not-for-profit organization dedicated to fostering youth, in the search for their Executive Director.
Reporting into the Board of Directors and leading a team of 4-5 people, this person will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, leading general operations, and managing and ensuring the continuous delivery of programs in line with the value statements and strategic plans set by the organization. Salary budget HKD 60,000 – 65,000.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall management and direction of the organisation, ensuring alignment between strategy, operations, and mission.
- Work with the Board to establish priorities, execute strategic initiatives, and monitor organisational performance.
- Oversee the planning, delivery, and evaluation of programmes and community initiatives.
- Manage organisational resources, including finances, operations, human resources, and administration.
- Ensure appropriate governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and internal controls.
- Drive organisational effectiveness through process improvements, technology adoption, and operational enhancements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, community leaders, institutional partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Support revenue generation efforts through fundraising, partnership development, and external engagement.
- Oversee external communications and public-facing activities to strengthen awareness and engagement.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small team, fostering a collaborative and accountable working environment.
- Represent the organisation in meetings, events, and stakeholder forums as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree-qualified in a relevant discipline.
- Significant leadership experience gained in the non-profit, education, social impact, community, public sector, or related environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage organisational operations, finances, programmes, and people.
- Strong strategic planning and execution capabilities, with the ability to translate ideas into practical outcomes.
- Experience building productive relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Commercial awareness and sound financial management skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and influencing abilities.
- Proven track record of leading teams and managing organisational change.
- Experience in fundraising, partnership development, or stakeholder engagement would be beneficial.
- Fluency in English and Chinese, both written and spoken.
- Resilient, pragmatic, and adaptable, with a genuine commitment to community impact.
