THE COMPANY:

Our client is a well-established provider of CNC machine tools and precision engineering solutions, supporting customers across manufacturing, engineering, machining and industrial sectors throughout Ireland.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their Leinster-based service team, supporting a growing portfolio of customers operating advanced CNC machinery.

THE ROLE:

The successful Field Service Engineer will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and troubleshooting CNC machinery at customer sites throughout Leinster.

This is primarily a maintenance and breakdown support role, with approximately 80% of your time focused on service activities, alongside occasional installation and commissioning projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Servicing and maintaining CNC machine tools

• Diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical and control system faults

• Conducting preventative maintenance visits

• Responding to customer breakdowns and service requests

• Working on CNC controls, drives, motors and associated equipment

• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical documentation

• Supporting new machine installations

• Assisting with machine commissioning and customer handovers

• Completing service reports and technical documentation

• Providing technical support and advice to customers

• Building strong customer relationships across the territory

THE PERSON:

We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience within CNC machinery, industrial maintenance, automation, machine tools, manufacturing equipment or field service engineering environments.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Electrical trade qualification or strong electrical background

• Previous field service or maintenance engineering experience

• Strong electro-mechanical fault-finding skills

• Experience working on CNC machinery, industrial equipment or automated production systems

• Knowledge of motors, drives, controls and industrial electrical systems

• Excellent customer-facing and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and manage a territory

• Full clean driving licence

• A proactive and solutions-focused attitude

THE PACKAGE:

• Base Salary: €55,000 – €60,000 DOE

LOCATION:

Ideally based in Dublin, Meath, Kildare, Louth, Wicklow or anywhere within Leinster.
