Junior Accountant

Our client, a luxury fashion brand, is seeking a Junior Accountant to join the team for a hybrid role in their NYC office. 
  
This is a full-time, temporary position that will begin September 1 and continue until December 31, with the potential to extend.   
  
Job Duties Include: 

• Manage full cycle Accounts Payable, including invoices, vendor setup, and payments (ACH, wire, checks)
• Process employee expense reports and reconcile vendor accounts, resolving billing discrepancies
• Generate customer invoices, apply payments, and monitor Accounts Receivable balances
• Prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and support month end close
• Assist with audits, 1099 reporting, SOX compliance, and internal controls
• Prepare financial reports and provide accounting support for management as needed

Job Qualifications Include: 

• 2+ years of accounting experience, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month end close
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP Business One preferred)
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and communication skills
• Self motivated team player who thrives in a fast paced environment and can manage multiple priorities

Salary: $35 per hour
