About the Opportunity

Core Personnel Staffing Services is actively hiring a detail-oriented Hydraulic & Mechanical Assembly Technician for a premier, global manufacturer of high-precision hydraulic power systems located in Katy, TX.

In this role, you will work hands-on to build mechanical sub-assemblies and hydraulic motors, read engineering schematics, and execute quality testing in a modern, organized manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Precision Assembly: Build, fit, and assemble hydraulic motors and mechanical components using hand tools, torque wrenches, and pneumatic assembly equipment according to defined production schedules.

• Blueprint Reading: Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure exact spec compliance.

• Quality Control & Testing: Inspect parts for precise tolerances, surface finish, and visual defects. Assist with test stand operations and paint line prep before final inspection.

• 5S & Workstation Upkeep: Keep tools, fixtures, and workstations clean, safe, and organized in accordance with facility 5S standards.

• Cross-Functional Rotation: Cross-train across various specialized assembly cells and communicate daily production progress with your Team Lead.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, industrial production, or machining environments.

• Technical Skills: Proven ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, blueprints, and SOPs.

• Quality Focus: Strong understanding of machined component constraints (tolerances, surface quality, and micro-inspections).

• Physical Capabilities: Ability to perform manual mechanical assembly, stand, bend, and work with hand/power tools throughout the shift.

• Attributes: High motivation, excellent attendance, strong communication, and a strong safety-first mindset.
