About The Role
We're looking for an experienced Site Manager on a temp to perm basis to lead day-to-day operations at a manufacturing facility in Penrith. You'll take full ownership of production output, safety, quality, and people performance on site, with one Supervisor reporting directly to you and a broader team of up to 20.

About The Role

Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing the site's production team, including direct oversight of the Supervisor and frontline workforce, to ensure consistent output against production schedules and quality benchmarks.
- Owning site safety performance — embedding a strong safety culture, ensuring WHS compliance, and driving toward zero-harm outcomes.
- Managing day-to-day production planning and scheduling, ensuring on-time delivery against customer and project timelines.
- Maintaining quality control standards in line with certified manufacturing processes and product warranty commitments.
- Managing rostering, resourcing, and performance management across the team, including coaching and developing the Supervisor.
- Coordinating with procurement, logistics, and warehousing to maintain stock control and ensure materials are available to meet production demand.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across plant efficiency, waste reduction, and process standardisation.
- Reporting to senior leadership on site performance, capacity planning, and operational risk.
About You
You're an experienced manufacturing or production leader who's comfortable being hands-on and knows how to get the best out of a team. You bring genuine credibility on the plant floor and a practical understanding of what it takes to run a site well.
You'll likely have:
- A proven track record in a Site Manager, Production Manager, or Operations Manager role within a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial production environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams of a similar size (10-20+), including managing through a Supervisor or team leader layer.
- A strong working knowledge of WHS compliance and a genuine commitment to safety leadership.
- Solid understanding of production planning, scheduling, and quality control processes in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience with precast concrete, composites, or related heavy manufacturing processes is highly regarded, though not essential.
- Strong communication and people leadership skills, with the ability to coach, motivate, and hold a team accountable in a practical, straightforward way.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with the confidence to identify and implement process efficiencies.
