About the client
MAYDAY Recruitment is partnering with a well-established and highly regarded insurer seeking an experienced Claims Consultant to join their VIC Claims team on a temporary basis until the end of the year.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced claims professional who can hit the ground running, manage a busy portfolio and provide high-quality service to customers throughout the claims process.

Property claims experience is highly desirable, but most importantly, you’ll bring proven claims processing experience and the ability to work confidently in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Processing and managing claims from notification through to resolution
  • Assessing claim information and determining appropriate outcomes
  • Liaising with customers, brokers, assessors, suppliers and other stakeholders
  • Coordinating assessments, repairs and other claim requirements
  • Maintaining accurate claim records and documentation
  • Managing customer enquiries and providing regular updates
  • Ensuring claims are processed efficiently and in line with relevant policies and procedures


What We're Looking For

  • Previous claims processing experience – essential
  • Experience managing claims within an insurance environment
  • Property claims experience highly desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Confident communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise competing claims
  • Experience using claims management systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to hit the ground running and work effectively
