Component Engineer for Brake Systems

Job Summary

Responsible for all aspects of mechanical component engineering from requirements analysis to component validation according to the V-Model methodology

Core Responsibilities And Activities

• Analyze mechanical component requirements and develop component specifications
• Establish component validation testing plan
• Perform design reviews and DRBFM
• Execute component design, modeling and simulations
• Execute component prototype builds
• Execute component validation testing
• Review testing results and component teardowns
• Support strategic development plans for assigned component
• Support platform and customer projects with expertise as needed

Drawings, DFMEA, DRBFM for concerned component

Previous Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive component design
• Brake system component design preferred
  
   

Education

• MUST: 4 year bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field from an accredited university either in Japan or abroad
• PREFERRED: Master’s degree in technical field
  
  
   

Languages

• MUST: Full professional language proficiency in both English and Japanese
