Event Manager

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and creative Event Manager to lead the planning and delivery of high-quality events. You will manage the Events Team, oversee multiple projects from initial concept through to completion, maintain strong client relationships and ensure each event is delivered efficiently, within budget and in line with the client’s expectations.

You will join and supervise a dedicated team of Event Coordinators and event staff, working collaboratively with marketing and other internal departments to deliver successful events and support continued business growth. 
 

Responsibilities and Duties

As Event Manager, you will:

• Lead, motivate and support the Events Team, overseeing schedules, staffing requirements and daily priorities. 
• Manage multiple events from initial design and planning through to on-site delivery and post-event review. 
• Interpret client briefs, present and sell creative ideas, and ensure events meet client expectations and agreed budgets. 
• Oversee event contracts, budgeting, invoicing and sponsorship negotiations. 
• Manage client relationships and identify opportunities to attract new business and improve service quality. 
• Develop standard operating procedures and manage the team’s operational and administrative processes. 
• Work with the Marketing Department on brand management and the promotion of events and new inventory. 
• Conduct venue inspections and ensure compliance with all relevant insurance, legal, health and safety obligations.

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this position, you should have:

• A bachelor’s degree in Event Management or a related field, or at least five years of event planning experience. 
• Proven experience as an Event Manager, Event Planner or Event Organiser.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate, organise and support an events team. 
• Excellent communication, presentation and client relationship management skills.
• Creativity, innovation and the confidence to develop and present event concepts.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events independently.
• Excellent attention to detail and a professional approach to budgets, costs and deadlines. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
