Lead Security Architect | Contract

• Period: 1 October 2026 – 31 December 2026
• Location: Any Australian capital city – hybrid working
• Rate: circa $960 per day including super

We are seeking an experienced Lead Security Architect to join a major enterprise environment.

About the Role

• Define secure solution architectures across complex enterprise environments.
• Influence strategic technology decisions and ensure security is embedded from design through delivery.
• Lead and manage complex security architecture initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Provide trusted guidance on security controls, architecture patterns, risk considerations, and secure-by-design practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain secure architecture patterns, standards and guidelines.
• Work with business, technology, delivery, vendor and security teams to embed effective controls.
• Assess solution designs, identify security risks and provide practical recommendations.
• Support security governance, assurance and operational readiness activities.
• Communicate complex security concepts clearly to technical and executive stakeholders.

About You

• Senior-level security architecture experience across enterprise environments.
• Strong background defining security requirements, controls, patterns and solution architecture.
• Ability to influence strategic technology decisions and manage ambiguity in complex programs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including executive-level influence.
