This is a highly detail-oriented position that requires accuracy, patience, and close attention throughout the entire assembly and testing process.
The Assembly Technician must carefully follow manufacturing procedures, interpret technical drawings and bills of materials, use precision measuring instruments, and ensure every completed pump meets established quality and tolerance requirements.

Essential Functions

  • Build and test pumps using common hand tools and power-assisted assembly tools.
  • Follow all manufacturing procedures related to 3P manufacturing and standard work.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and rework pumps as needed.
  • Use precision measuring instruments to ensure products meet specified tolerances.
  • Operate automatic and semi-automatic assembly equipment.
  • Interpret bills of materials, technical drawings, and work instructions to properly assemble various products.
  • Perform all subassembly operations as directed by the supervisor.
  • Consistently inspect work and meet established quality standards.
  • Participate in overtime as required to meet customer demands.
  • Assist with training fellow assemblers and new hires when needed.
  • Continuously cross-train on different product lines to increase flexibility and production efficiency.
  • Participate in daily TIB meetings.
  • Consistently meet attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, quality work.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to use basic math to complete daily and weekly timesheets, DBH forms, and tracking sheets.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power-assisted tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret bills of materials, drawings, and written work instructions.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English for all work-related matters.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to accept and adapt to changes in production needs and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Ability to lift and move materials, including occasional heavy lifting as necessary.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Must be able to alternate between sitting and standing workstations for extended periods.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and use hands to assemble products.
  • Requires light physical effort, including frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
  • Some heavy lifting may be required as necessary.
  • May be required to work at different workstations or move from one station to another during the assembly process based on production needs.
  • The noise level within the work environment is maintained within established standards.
  • Safety glasses are required.
  • Gloves must be worn in designated production areas as required.
