Chandler Macleod is seeking experienced Procurement Advisors to support a major Federal Government agency delivering high-quality procurement and contract management services across a diverse portfolio. This is a 12 month full time termporary contract with potential extension and requires 3 days work from the office and 2 days from home. The successful candidate can be based in Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney.
As a Procurement Advisor, you will support the delivery of end-to-end procurement activities while providing trusted advice to internal stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:

As a Procurement Advisor, you will support the delivery of end-to-end procurement activities while providing trusted advice to internal stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing low to medium-risk procurements from planning through to contract establishment
- Partnering with business areas to understand requirements, identify risks and develop effective procurement strategies
- Preparing Spending Proposals, procurement plans, briefing papers and approval documentation
- Conducting market research and supplier analysis to inform sourcing decisions
- Developing and managing procurement documentation, including RFQs, RFTs and RFIs
- Coordinating and facilitating evaluation processes, including preparation of evaluation plans and reports
- Providing procurement advice and guidance to stakeholders in line with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and organisational policies
- Supporting supplier negotiations and contract establishment activities
- Assisting with contract management, including variations, extensions and supplier performance monitoring
- Maintaining accurate procurement records and ensuring compliance with governance, probity and audit requirements
- Building positive stakeholder relationships and contributing to the successful delivery of procurement outcomes
- 2 to 5 years' procurement experience within a government environment
- Strong understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs)
- Experience delivering end-to-end low to medium-risk procurements
- Experience preparing procurement documentation, evaluation reports and approval briefs
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Excellent written communication and drafting capability
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Relevant qualifications in procurement, contract management, business or a related discipline will be highly regarded
- Previous Commonwealth Government experience is highly desirable
