A Meadville manufacturing company is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Quality & Compliance Lead to oversee quality inspections, support quality systems, and assist with continuous improvement initiatives within a production environment. This hands-on role works closely with both production and corporate teams to ensure products meet company and customer specifications while supporting compliance initiatives, process consistency, and continuous improvement efforts. Previous quality experience within manufacturing is preferred, with plastics or textile industry experience considered a plus.
Responsibilities
Perform incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections to ensure products meet company and customer specifications
Conduct routine inspections throughout the production process across multiple manufacturing cells
Review specifications, measurements, and tolerances to verify product quality standards are met
Support and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in partnership with Corporate Quality
Assist with ISO 9001:2015 compliance efforts and support internal audit activities
Build and maintain quality documentation and quality folders for individual projects
Assist with corrective actions, continuous improvement efforts, and defect reduction initiatives
Work within the company ERP system to support inspection tracking and documentation activities
Collaborate with production, management, and corporate teams to resolve quality concerns and improve processes
Participate in customer, vendor, training, and occasional corporate office visits as needed
Support general quality assurance activities within both office and manufacturing environments
Coordinate calibration, validation, and document control processes
Serve as a key point of contact for quality and compliance-related matters within the division
Work closely with production teams to reinforce quality standards and best practices
Support and track Corrective Action Programs (CAPs) and follow-up activities
Qualifications and Skills
Previous quality experience within a manufacturing environment preferred
Experience working within a Quality Management System (QMS) environment preferred
Knowledge of quality inspections, specifications, measurements, and documentation processes
ISO 9001 experience required; Internal Auditor certification is a plus
Experience with SPC, quality analysis tools, or ERP systems preferred
Plastics, textile, or related manufacturing experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively with production staff, management, and corporate teams
Comfortable working in both office and production floor environments
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to balance hands-on production support responsibilities with administrative and compliance duties
Benefits/Compensation
Full Time
First shift (6:30am – 3pm)
$18.50+/hr based on experience and certifications
Temp to hire position
Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts
