Duration: 12-Month Contract
Pay Rate: Up to $50-54/hour
Position Summary
We are seeking a Commercial Metering Project Manager to support renewable energy development, design, construction, and commissioning projects. This role is responsible for overseeing commercial metering systems throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring metering requirements are properly incorporated into project design and executed in accordance with commercial agreements and industry standards.
The successful candidate will collaborate with engineering, development, business management, transmission services, third-party engineering firms, and external stakeholders to coordinate metering activities from concept development through project commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Coordination
- Manage commercial metering activities across renewable energy projects from development through commissioning.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute commercial metering requirements and project deliverables.
- Interface with internal stakeholders including Engineering, Development, Business Management, and Transmission Services.
- Manage relationships with third-party engineering firms, consultants, and external stakeholders.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, schedules, and contractual obligations.
Metering & Technical Support
- Interpret and organize customer, commercial, and internal metering requirements.
- Ensure metering system designs align with contractual, regulatory, and project requirements.
- Support implementation of metering requirements into engineering and design activities.
- Evaluate and apply metering concepts, industry standards, and best practices across multiple projects.
- Support metering system design, development, construction, and commissioning activities.
Commercial & Contractual Management
- Support commercial agreement execution related to metering requirements.
- Monitor contractual obligations and track execution progress.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure commercial requirements are accurately incorporated into project scope and design.
- Assist with contract negotiations and stakeholder alignment as needed.
Communication & Reporting
- Prepare project communications, presentations, and status updates.
- Present project information and support stakeholder meetings.
- Track and report project progress, risks, and deliverables.
- Develop recommendations and improvement initiatives to enhance project execution and metering processes.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
Experience
- 2–5 years of engineering, project management, utility, renewable energy, power generation, or related experience.
- Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and project teams.
- Experience managing project schedules, deliverables, and project execution activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with commercial or contractual negotiations.
- Understanding of ISO (Independent System Operator) requirements and energy market structures.
- Knowledge of utility-scale metering systems and metering equipment.
- Experience supporting renewable energy, transmission, generation, or utility infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing third-party engineering firms and consultants.
