A growing professional services firm is looking to appoint an experienced Transfer Pricing professional at Assistant Manager or Manager level to join its Tax team.
The role offers exposure to a varied client portfolio, from privately owned and mid-market businesses through to large multinational groups. You’ll take ownership of client engagements, provide technical advice on complex transfer pricing matters and work closely with senior stakeholders across the business.
The team works across a broad range of international tax and transfer pricing issues, including business restructures, cross-border projects, tax authority reviews, compliance and transfer pricing planning.
The Role
As an Assistant Manager or Manager, you’ll take responsibility for managing engagements and developing strong relationships with clients, while also supporting the broader team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Applying transfer pricing, economic and financial concepts to solve complex client issues.
- Managing engagements from planning through to completion, including budgets, timelines and client deliverables.
- Taking ownership of day-to-day client relationships and acting as a key point of contact.
- Reviewing transfer pricing analyses, documentation and financial models prepared by junior team members.
- Supporting Directors and Partners on more complex engagements, including transfer pricing reviews, audits and Advance Pricing Arrangements.
- Participating in meetings with clients, the ATO and other tax authorities.
- Providing practical advice around transfer pricing risks, planning and compliance.
- Identifying opportunities to expand client relationships and contribute to business development activities.
- Coaching, mentoring and developing Consultants and Senior Consultants within the team.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced Transfer Pricing or Tax professional who enjoys working on complex matters and is ready to take on greater responsibility across both clients and team members.
Ideally, you will have:
- 5+ years' experience in Transfer Pricing, Tax Consulting or a closely related field.
- A degree in Business, Commerce, Law or a related discipline.
- CA, CPA, Tax Institute qualification or equivalent professional accreditation.
- Strong technical knowledge of transfer pricing and international tax concepts.
- Excellent analytical, financial modelling and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management capabilities and the ability to manage multiple engagements.
- Confidence dealing directly with clients and senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Experience mentoring and developing more junior team members.
- Australian working rights.
