The Opportunity

An opportunity is available for an experienced Project Finance professional to join a leading institutional banking team, working on complex, large-scale financing transactions across the energy, infrastructure, natural resources and transport sectors.

The role offers exposure to the origination and execution of structured, limited-recourse financing for major projects, including greenfield developments. You’ll take ownership of key transaction workstreams, contribute to deal structuring and credit assessments, and build relationships with a range of clients and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead key workstreams across the origination and execution of complex project finance transactions.
  • Analyse and develop financing structures, term sheets and proposals, balancing commercial outcomes with credit risk.
  • Manage internal credit submissions and approval processes.
  • Coordinate due diligence, financial modelling and transaction documentation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, investors, contractors, advisers and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage ongoing portfolio credit requirements, including risk reviews, account monitoring, waivers and consents.
  • Support the development of junior team members and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team.

About You

You’ll bring a strong background in project finance or structured lending, with experience managing transaction workstreams and the technical capability to assess complex financing opportunities.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • 4–6+ years of relevant transaction experience, with the ability to lead smaller or less complex deals.
  • Strong financial modelling, financial analysis and credit risk assessment skills.
  • Experience managing due diligence and transaction documentation.
  • The ability to prepare financing proposals, pitch materials and credit papers.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant sectors, ideally including energy, infrastructure, natural resources or transport.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to deliver under tight deadlines.

Why Apply?

Join an established institutional banking team with exposure to significant transactions and major projects across Australia and the wider region. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of deals, develop your leadership capability and work alongside experienced professionals in a technically challenging environment.

Flexible working arrangements and a range of employee benefits are also available.

If you're looking to take the next step in your project finance career and work on transactions with real scale and complexity, we'd be keen to hear from you.
