Senior Energy Consultant | Perth, WA

CELOTTI WORKFORCE is currently seeking an experienced Senior Energy Consultant / Energy Advisor for our client, supporting a diverse portfolio of mining, industrial and energy projects based in Perth, WA.

This role will suit an experienced Senior Energy Consultant / Energy Advisor with strong experience in energy consulting, advisory and project assessment, ideally within mining, resources, industrial energy and energy infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and assess energy supply strategies for mining, industrial and remote/off-grid projects, considering grid supply, gas, renewables, battery storage and hybrid generation options.
• Lead front-end energy assessments, feasibility studies and conceptual solution development for greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Guide energy procurement strategies, supply arrangements and commercial evaluations, including IPP and PPA structures.
• Provide owner-side oversight of external contractors and energy infrastructure delivery partners, ensuring solutions align with client requirements, project scope, budget and timelines.
• Define project scopes and recommended pathways, translating technical and commercial assessments into clear next steps for clients.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering, commercial and project teams to develop practical energy solutions and assess project feasibility.
• Review technical assessments, modelling, cost estimates and commercial recommendations, challenging assumptions and ensuring proposed solutions meet client objectives.
• Support energy infrastructure planning, mine expansions, generation developments and large industrial energy projects from early assessment through to execution.
• Lead client discussions, workshops and presentations, communicating complex technical and commercial information in a clear and practical way.
• Provide strategic advice to clients on energy supply options, project economics, infrastructure requirements and delivery considerations.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Demonstrated experience in a senior energy consulting, advisory, strategy or project development role.
• Strong understanding of Australian energy markets, including the NEM and/or WEM.
• Experience working across mining, resources, industrial energy, utilities, energy infrastructure or generation projects.
• Exposure to remote/off-grid power solutions, ideally within mining, resources or large industrial environments.
• Understanding of energy supply options including grid connections, gas generation, renewables, battery storage and hybrid systems.
• Experience leading energy assessments, feasibility studies, business cases, expansion planning or conceptual project development.
• Commercial understanding of energy procurement, supply agreements, project economics and arrangements such as PPAs or IPPs.
• Ability to coordinate technical, commercial and project specialists, review their outputs and challenge assumptions without necessarily undertaking detailed engineering or modelling personally.
• Experience providing owner-side advice or overseeing external contractors and delivery partners on capital or infrastructure projects.
• Strong client engagement skills, with the ability to lead discussions, present recommendations and translate complex information into clear commercial and strategic advice.
• Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Energy, Commerce or a related discipline will be highly regarded.

• Salary of $160,000 – $220,000 + superannuation, depending on experience
