About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Planner to join a project controls team in Perth on a 12-month contract. This role will provide strategic planning and scheduling support across complex projects and portfolios, with a focus on integrated project controls, schedule management, risk analysis and resource forecasting. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience across major capital projects, with strong capability in Primavera P6 and the management of complex, integrated schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic planning and portfolio scheduling across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Develop, maintain and manage integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Provide integrated project controls support across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and operational readiness activities.
  • Undertake critical path analysis and identify schedule drivers, constraints and potential impacts.
  • Lead schedule risk analysis and support the development of mitigation strategies.
  • Support integrated schedule assurance and performance reporting.
  • Undertake resource forecasting and capacity planning across project portfolios.
  • Support brownfield project execution and planning within operating asset environments.
  • Facilitate planning workshops and engage with project, engineering, construction and operational stakeholders.
  • Provide planning advice and schedule insights to support project decision-making.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to planners and project controls team members.
  • Analyse schedule performance and communicate key risks, trends and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Support earned value and project performance reporting where required.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience in project planning and scheduling across complex Oil & Gas, Energy, Resources or major capital projects.
You will bring:
  • 15+ years' experience in project planning and scheduling.
  • Extensive Primavera P6 experience across complex project and portfolio environments.
  • Strong experience in Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) and Integrated Activity Planning (IAP).
  • Demonstrated experience supporting brownfield projects and operating asset environments.
  • Strong understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and operational readiness workflows.
  • Experience managing integrated schedules across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong understanding of project controls and TIC-based environments.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate planning workshops and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capability.
Desirable Experience
  • FPSO, offshore production facility, LNG or operating asset experience.
  • Experience working within owner/operator integrated teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of earned value methodologies across engineering and construction environments.
