Structural Drafter (Revit) – Permanent Opportunity

An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Structural Drafter to join a highly regarded consulting engineering practice with a strong reputation for delivering practical, high-quality design solutions across the commercial, large-scale residential and industrial sectors.

This is a true drafting role suited to someone who enjoys producing accurate, detailed structural documentation and takes pride in the technical aspects of drafting. The successful candidate will be embedded within the structural design team, working closely with engineers to prepare construction documentation for a range of predominantly reinforced concrete and industrial projects.

Importantly, this is not a BIM management or BIM coordination position. The focus of the role is on structural drafting and documentation delivery using Revit.

The Role

• Prepare detailed structural drawings and construction documentation using Revit Structure.
• Develop and maintain accurate Revit models to support project documentation.
• Produce documentation packages from concept design through to issue for construction.
• Work closely with structural engineers to translate design intent into practical, buildable drawings.
• Coordinate with architects and other consultants where required to ensure documentation accuracy.
• Deliver work in accordance with project programmes and established drafting standards.

About You

• Proven experience as a Structural Drafter within an Australian consulting engineering environment.
• Strong proficiency using Revit Structure for the preparation of structural documentation.
• Demonstrated experience detailing reinforced concrete structures, including slabs, columns, walls, footings and associated reinforcement layouts.
• Exposure to industrial projects, such as warehouses, manufacturing facilities, processing plants, and heavy industrial structures.
• A solid understanding of Australian Standards and local construction methodologies.
• Someone who genuinely enjoys drafting and documentation, rather than pursuing a BIM management pathway.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
