Intermediate/Senior Electrical Engineer: Building Services

An opportunity has become available for an Intermediate or Senior Electrical Engineer to join a well-established, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a strong reputation across the Building Services sector.

You'll work alongside experienced engineers on a diverse portfolio of projects spanning commercial, healthcare, education, transport, mission critical facilities and major infrastructure.

The Role Working as part of a collaborative Building Services team, you'll be responsible for the design and delivery of electrical services projects from concept through to construction. Depending on your level of experience, you'll support Project Leaders or take ownership of projects while mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical building services including power, lighting, emergency lighting, communications, security and specialist systems.
• Prepare engineering calculations, reports, specifications and technical documentation.
• Coordinate designs with mechanical, hydraulic, fire and structural engineering teams.
• Attend client, consultant and project meetings.
• Liaise with architects, contractors and key stakeholders throughout project delivery.
• Carry out site inspections and provide construction phase support.
• Mentor and support graduate and intermediate engineers (Senior level).
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with Australian Standards and relevant codes.

About You

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering.
• 4+ years' experience within a Building Services consulting environment.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and the National Construction Code.
• Experience delivering projects across commercial, healthcare, education, transport, mission critical facilities or other major developments.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD and electrical design software.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• CPEng, RPEQ or working towards professional registration is highly regarded.
