This established, family-owned financial services organisation provides flexible lending solutions to borrowers who may not meet traditional bank lending criteria. With a long operating history and a human-centred approach to financial assessment, the business is expanding its broker distribution network and national sales capability.

Role Overview
As a Business Development Associate, you will help grow the organisation’s broker network and loan portfolio through proactive sales activity. Based at the Melbourne CBD office, this is a high-activity, desk-based role involving outbound calls, virtual meetings, digital engagement and lead generation.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Generate new broker leads through outbound calling, email campaigns and market research
• Conduct virtual broker meetings and product presentations
• Develop relationships with brokers and aggregator groups nationally
• Manage and grow broker and aggregator relationships across multiple states
• Work towards outbound sales targets and broader performance KPIs
• Educate brokers on non-conforming lending products and respond to objections
• Maintain accurate and timely information within the CRM
• Support broker accreditation, onboarding and first submissions
• Partner with credit and broker support teams to deliver a positive application experience

Skills & Experience

• Experience working towards sales targets and KPIs
• Strong telephone communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to generate leads and engage stakeholders through virtual channels
• Self-motivated, organised and comfortable managing daily sales activity
• Collaborative and adaptable approach within a lean team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
• Qualification in finance, business, accounting or a related discipline
• Experience in professional sales, financial services or lending will be well regarded
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics or a similar CRM will be advantageous
• Availability to work full-time from the Melbourne CBD office
