Apply directThe position objective is to conduct all design and validation activities for all Mechanical aspects:
- Conduct design activities for Product integration (Radar, Vision, Night Vision) in the target platform for Customer Projects and internal Projects.
- Contribute to development quality activities.
- Interface with the OEM in order to define and report the Product Design and compliance
- Evaluate the System compliance to functional requirement during DV/PV stages.
- Monitor Supplier Tooling development in collaboration with SQE.
- Interface with the Autoliv Plant in order to address any Production issue related with the Mechanical Design and Manufacturability.
The Mechanical Engineer interfaces with the Customer in order to develop an Integration proposal in line with the Veoneer Integration guidelines.
Upon this Integration proposal, the Mechanical Engineer directs the CAD Designer to develop a 3D model matching the Integration proposal, and develop a set of Drawings for internal, Customer and Supplier use.
When required, the Mechanical Engineer as well coordinates FEA and evaluates the compliance of the design to its intended use prior to tooling releases.
The Design need to be supported by the required Quality development process activities (Design for Manufacturing, FMEA, Tolerance analysis, SC/CC list…) to ensure full fit for use.
Requirements
Experience in Electrical Connector design would be an advantage.
Computer tools: Office pack, internet, Computer system operations.
CAD design: Basic operation of CAD design tool (CATIA) is preferred.
Communication.
Good level of English command required (TOEIC>700) and more than business level of Japanese language
