Coffee operator- soft bag

Position Summary

The Coffee Soft Bag Packaging Operator is responsible for operating packaging equipment, filling and sealing coffee soft bags, maintaining product quality standards, and ensuring efficient production processes. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to food safety regulations, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate coffee packaging machines for filling, sealing, labeling, and packing soft bags.
• Monitor production lines to ensure product quality and packaging accuracy.
• Inspect coffee bags for defects, leaks, improper seals, or labeling issues.
• Perform routine machine setup, adjustments, cleaning, and minor troubleshooting.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, GMP, and company quality standards.
• Record production data, downtime, and quality checks accurately.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of packaging materials and finished products.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
• Assist with inventory counts and material replenishment as needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing, packaging, or production is preferred.
• Ability to operate packaging machinery and production equipment.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in coffee production or food packaging environments.
• Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, FDA requirements).
• Forklift certification is a plus.
