The Company….. 
A large and rapidly growing Queensland Government organisation is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to develop engaging and visually compelling content across print, digital, video and online platforms, supporting the Region’s stakeholder and community engagement program.

The successful candidate will bring strong creative design skills, with experience ideally gained within a government or public sector environment. This is an exciting two-year contract opportunity, with the role based in either Cairns or Townsville.


The Job…..
Reporting to the Manager, in this Graphic Designer role, you will be responsible for:

• Create engaging print, digital, video and social media content that supports strategic communication and community engagement.
• Provide expert design advice and ensure all work aligns with departmental branding and accessibility standards.
• Design a range of communication materials, including publications, presentations, advertising, maps and video assets.
• Manage multiple projects, liaise with stakeholders and external suppliers, and deliver high-quality outcomes on time.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and collaborate with design teams across the Department.

  
You…..
To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following:

• Five or more years' experience in graphic, digital or visual design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) and Microsoft Office.
• Experience delivering high-quality graphic design, digital and video content for large organisations, ideally government.
• Strong creative, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and corporate branding guidelines.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce contemporary, engaging visual communications.
