Controller
Location: Remote (Bay Area preferred; occasional meetings in Office)
Duration: 3+ month contract with strong potential for permanent hire
We are seeking a hands-on Controller to join a growing SaaS company. This role is ideal for someone with extensive experience managing external audits, cash management, and day-to-day accounting operations in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

• Lead the external audit process and maintain ongoing audit readiness
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and cash forecasting
• Oversee month-end close, AP/AR, payroll, and financial reporting
• Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
• Support process improvements and accounting operations during company growth
• Partner with Sales and Operations on deal desk activities and cross-functional initiatives

• 7+ years of accounting and finance experience, including 3+ years as a Controller
• Proven experience managing external audits from planning through completion
• Strong cash management and cash forecasting experience
• SaaS or enterprise software industry experience preferred
• Knowledge of ASC 606, subscription revenue, deferred revenue, and SaaS metrics
