Our client is a well-established New Zealand business looking for an organised, technically grounded IT support person to join their small internal IT team on an hourly-rate contract through to December 2026.
This is a frontline coordination role, you'll be the first point of contact for IT support across the business, keeping the ticket queue moving, resolving common issues, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.

This is a frontline coordination role, you'll be the first point of contact for IT support across the business, keeping the ticket queue moving, resolving common issues, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
What you'll be doing:
- Resolving Level 1 and straightforward Level 2 issues (Windows, M365, laptops, devices, peripherals)
- Managing and triaging the IT ticket queue - logging, prioritising, following up, closing
- Coordinating incident response and keeping users informed
- Supporting onboarding/offboarding and basic asset management
- Writing and maintaining simple how-to guides and support documentation
- 1 year in a helpdesk, IT support, or service desk role
- Solid working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint)
- Experience with a ticketing system and managing a queue of work
- Clear communicator, you translate tech into plain English
- Calm and structured when things get busy
