Electrical Project Manager – Client Side (Infrastructure Upgrade Project)

We are partnering with a specialist project management consultancy delivering complex electrical and mechanical infrastructure projects across Sydney. They are currently seeking an Electrical Project Manager to join their team and take ownership of a major 2-year technical infrastructure upgrade project.

This is a client-side delivery role, offering the opportunity to step away from contractor or engineering consultancy environments and move into a broader project leadership position, while still staying close to technical design and delivery.

The Role

You will be responsible for the end-to-end oversight of a significant infrastructure upgrade program, working across electrical systems and associated mechanical interfaces. The role will see you acting as the key interface between the client, design consultants, and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing technical electrical design development and delivery across the project lifecycle
• Managing subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered in line with program and quality expectations
• Coordinating with mechanical and broader infrastructure disciplines
• Reviewing and challenging design documentation and contractor submissions
• Supporting project planning, risk management, and stakeholder reporting
• Acting as a key technical advisor to the client-side team

About You

We are open to candidates from either an electrical contractor or engineering consultancy background. You will ideally bring:

• Electrical engineering background (degree qualified or equivalent experience)
• Experience delivering electrical infrastructure projects (or strong exposure to mechanical/electrical infrastructure environments)
• Confidence managing subcontractors and interfacing across multiple stakeholders
• Strong understanding of technical design and construction delivery
• Ability to work autonomously while being supported into a client-side environment
• Interest in transitioning into a broader project management / client-side delivery role

This role would suit someone who is technically strong, commercially aware, and ready to step into a more client-facing, strategic position while still remaining close to delivery.
