Public Sector People is partnering exclusively with Clarence Valley Council to recruit a Coordinator Asset Management.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Asset Management professional to lead a small, capable team while driving the continual improvement of Council's asset management capability across one of NSW's largest local government areas.
You'll play a key role in shaping how Council plans, manages and invests in its infrastructure, improving the quality of asset data, embedding consistent practices across the organisation and helping deliver smarter, data-driven capital investment decisions.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager Strategic Infrastructure, you'll lead Council's Asset Management team and work closely with operational managers across Transport, Water & Sewer, Open Spaces and Facilities to strengthen strategic asset management across the organisation.
You'll lead the ongoing implementation of Council's Asset Management Improvement Plan, continue improving systems and processes, and help build a consistent approach to asset planning across a diverse infrastructure portfolio.
Working alongside Finance and operational teams, you'll ensure asset information supports long-term planning, renewal programs, capital investment decisions and future service delivery.
You'll also lead a team of Asset Management professionals, providing guidance, mentoring and direction while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
It's a rare opportunity to combine leadership, strategic thinking, systems improvement and hands-on asset management in one role.

About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys improving systems, solving complex problems and helping organisations make better infrastructure decisions.
You'll ideally bring:
- Experience in infrastructure asset management, asset planning or strategic asset management.
- Experience developing or improving Asset Management Plans and asset management frameworks.
- Strong analytical capability with confidence working with large datasets and asset information.
- Experience using asset management systems such as TechOne or similar enterprise platforms, with advanced Excel skills highly regarded.
- The ability to lead and develop technical teams while influencing stakeholders across an organisation.
- Tertiary qualifications in Asset Management, Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Planning or a related discipline.
