Apply directOur client, a luxury fashion brand, is seeking a Temporary Payroll Specialist to join the team at their corporate office in New York City. This is a 2-3 week assignment starting immediately following a hybrid, full-time schedule (4 days in office). Candidates must be comfortable with working flexible hours to support the needs of the business.
Job Duties Include:
- Work closely with the payroll team in processing biweekly payroll for assigned region.
- Enter exceptions, transfers, and adjustments as needed through time and attendance system in order to process bi-weekly payroll based on state-specific PTO and final pay laws.
- Partner with Retail Managers to complete new hire Onboarding process to ensure new incumbent is set up in timekeeping and HRIS system.
- Alongside the benefits team, administer benefit programs, including medical, dental, life insurance, employee assistance program, retirement, and other plans.
- Partner with third party vendors and HR on all leaves of absences including Short-Term Disability, FMLA, and Worker’s Compensation claims.
- Provide quality customer service to employees by answering benefit questions and resolving issues.
Job Qualifications Include:
- 2+ years of related compensation & benefits experience
- Experience with Multistate payroll processing, including knowledge of California pay law
- Retail or luxury backgrounds preferred
- Proficiency in data analytics
- Strong Excel Skills including pivot tables, v-lookups, and formulas
- Able to manage fast paced, high volume requests
- Detail and deadline oriented
- Strong multi-tasking skills
Pay: $35-40/hour
