£16.48 per hour | Fully remote | 3–5 days per week | Temporary
Harris Hill is delighted to be working with a growing charity to recruit a Temporary Membership Coordinator.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced administrator to join a small, friendly team and provide essential support across membership administration and day-to-day operations.
The organisation supports a community of senior professionals and is looking for someone highly organised, confident and able to quickly pick up established processes and take ownership of their workload.
The role
You’ll play a key part in supporting the membership journey, from initial enquiries through to onboarding and ongoing administration.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing new membership enquiries and responding to members in a professional and timely way
- Coordinating introductory meetings, including diary management, invitations and follow-ups
- Reviewing prospective member profiles and matching individuals to the most appropriate membership groups based on factors such as professional background and location
- Supporting new member onboarding and ensuring all relevant actions are completed
- Maintaining accurate CRM and membership records
- Managing shared inboxes and keeping track of outstanding enquiries and actions
- Supporting membership subscriptions, renewals, payments, cancellations and invoicing
- Checking and reconciling information across different systems
- Preparing and sending member communications using agreed templates
- Maintaining trackers and providing clear updates on completed and outstanding work
- Providing wider administrative and operational support to the team as required
About you
We’re looking for an experienced administrator who is organised, accurate and comfortable working independently.
You’ll need:
- Strong administration, coordination and diary management experience
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage several processes at once
- Confidence using CRM, database or customer/member management systems
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook and Excel
- Clear and professional written communication skills
- Good judgement and the confidence to make straightforward decisions within established processes
- The ability to pick up new systems and ways of working quickly
- Experience working independently and managing your own workload in a remote environment
Previous experience within a membership organisation would be useful but isn’t essential. Experience supporting subscriptions, payments or renewals would be particularly beneficial, as would familiarity with systems such as Stripe, GoCardless, Xero or WordPress.
The most important thing is that you’re a capable, reliable administrator who can understand a process quickly, use common sense to resolve routine queries and know when something needs to be escalated.
This is a fully remote temporary role, available for 3–5 days per week, with some flexibility depending on the successful candidate. A start date of 12th October would be preferred to allow for a thorough handover.
If you’re an experienced administrator looking for a varied, people-focused temporary role where you can quickly become a valued part of a small team, we’d love to hear from you.
