Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the planning and technical activities of software development from the design phase until the start of production of the projects.
  • Contributes to the definition of the software methodology in accordance with the Software Department Manager.
  • Ensures the correctness and the execution of the technical design reviews on projects.
  • Manages the resources of projects (status progress, tasks, etc).
  • Validates and optimizes the workload plan for projects.
  • Leads weekly team meetings.
  • Contributes to identification of the required standard bricks in accordance with SW Business Manager.
  • Contributes to the capitalizations and the required evolutions to improve the development processes.
  • Contributes to identification of the required make or buy strategy in accordance with SW Business Manager.
  • Manages the Software Planning and action plan.
  • Manages the change management of projects and prepare the SwCCB.
  • Manages the Requirement Management.
  • Ensures accuracy of application of standards.
  • Defines project budgets.
  • Tracks budget and updates 3-month forecast of projects.
  • Contributes to R&D efficiency plan of project in accordance with SW Team Leader.
  • Reports project progress, technical reviews, and issues to SW Dept Manager and R&D PTM.
  • Attends weekly meetings with SW Dept Manager and R&D PTM.
  • Support the R&D PTM in projects reviews when needed.
  • Participates in SW Dept monthly meetings.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of embedded software and system
  • Excellent knowledge of build processes and tools
  • Knowledge of used problem resolution management tool (TeamForge)
  • Knowledge of used test methods and development tools
  • Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SpiceA)
  • Excellent knowledge of configuration management
