Calling all experienced Night Shift Fleet Controllers – we want YOU!
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Night Shift Fleet Controller to join one of our highly regarded transport and logistics clients based at the Port of Brisbane.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a transport professional who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment, knows their way around container transport and enjoys keeping the wheels turning while the rest of Brisbane sleeps!
With an immediate start available, we're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, confidently coordinate overnight fleet movements and ensure transport operations run like clockwork.

About the Role
Reporting to the Transport Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating and allocating nightly fleet movements across container transport operations.
• Managing driver schedules, workloads and overnight transport requirements.
• Planning and monitoring container movements to and from the Port of Brisbane, container parks and customer sites.
• Liaising with drivers, customers, wharf operators and operational teams.
• Monitoring fleet movements to ensure timely deliveries and collections.
• Managing unexpected delays, operational challenges and last-minute changes.
• Ensuring compliance with fatigue management, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and transport safety requirements.
• Utilising transport management systems to monitor jobs, update movements and maintain accurate records.
• Maximising fleet utilisation and ensuring a smooth handover to the day shift team.

About You
To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:

• Previous experience in Fleet Control, Transport Allocations or Container Logistics – essential.
• Availability and willingness to work night shift – essential.
• Strong understanding of wharf operations, container parks and port transport movements.
• Knowledge of the Port of Brisbane and surrounding transport networks.
• Experience coordinating HC/MC drivers and container transport fleets.
• Excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and make confident decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.
• Sound understanding of NHVR regulations, fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility.
• Confidence using transport management systems and Microsoft Office.
