The Timing
This role is open now and sits within an active, growing section. You'll work closely with a number of senior practitioners across the national team, with genuine exposure to partners and complex matters from the outset.

The Work Itself
Think about what it means to establish a new investment fund from scratch: advising on structure, preparing the product disclosure statement, navigating AFSL licensing requirements, and then reviewing the commercial agreements that tie service providers into the fund's operations. That's a core part of what this role involves.

Beyond establishment work, the team handles fund restructures, mergers and closures across all asset classes. You'll also be involved in corporate transactions more broadly, meaning the work moves between the technical precision of financial services regulation and the commercial demands of transactional practice. Due diligence, disclosure documents, and licensing applications sit alongside deal work.

Sound Like You?
You have between 2 and 4 years of post-admission experience in funds management and/or financial services law, ideally with some time in private practice. You're technically precise, commercially minded, and you write well. If your background is more broadly corporate or banking but you have a genuine interest in financial services, this team has flagged they want to hear from you too. You're ready to take on client relationships and to mentor junior team members as the practice grows.
